If you need to cancel for specified reasons, non-refundable cancellation charges are waived. In the event you choose to cancel for a reason not eligible under the plan at any time up until departure, Celebrity will provide you with cruise credit equal to 90% of the non-refundable value of your cruise vacation for use toward a future cruise (excluding Flights by Celebrity).

Coverage of up to 150% of your total trip cost is provided in the event you can’t start or finish your cruise vacation because you or a family member is sick or injured, there’s a death in the family, or for another covered reason.

In the event of a travel delay, the plan reimburses up to $2,000 for covered out-of-pocket expenses to catch up to your cruise. If you miss your trip departure for covered reasons by 3 or more hours, the plan covers an additional $300.

Should you become injured or sick during your vacation, the plan reimburses for covered medical expenses for up to one year from the date of your accident or illness. Coverage includes up to $100,000 for accident or sickness medical expenses, up to $500,000 for emergency evacuation, and up to $500,000 for repatriation.

Why is it suggested to add CruiseCareSM at the time of booking?
CruiseCare includes its Penalty Waiver and Cancel For Any Reason features (non-insurance benefits) as soon as the plan is paid in full, in addition to any required cruise deposit.
Purchasing the plan early can also help protect against unexpected events or medical conditions that may prevent travel between booking and final payment. CruiseCare is refundable within 10 days of purchase. Please note that coverage does not begin until the plan is paid in full. If you did not pay in full at booking, call 1-800-797-4516 to complete payment for your CruiseCare plan.
