When we designed the staterooms on Celebrity Edge, each detail was carefully thought through to ensure that every stateroom makes unwinding at sea just as easy as unwinding at home. So, when choosing the designer to collaborate with, we knew exactly who we wanted at the helm: Kelly Hoppen.
As one of the most sought-after interior designers in the world, Kelly’s renowned and ever-evolving style is underpinned by a subtle fusion of East meets West—clean lines and neutral tones, blended with charming warmth and sumptuous opulence. We knew that working with her and her style was exactly what we needed to make a bold, modern luxury statement.
The visionary approach of designer Kelly Hoppen, MBE, ensures one thing: that every stateroom makes unwinding at sea just as easy as unwinding at home.
Once the ship’s bold modern lines were sketched, Kelly took the lead on the design of accommodations. Not your standard hotel room, Celebrity Edge’s staterooms have a residential feel, and are relaxed, comfortable enclaves with the intimacy of an inviting and indulgent urban apartment. Says Hoppen, “We were inspired by the notion that it is possible to sail away from the demands of modern living, and retreat to a splendid space with an endlessly changing view. It was exciting to explore the precise balance between the excitement of travel and the comfort of a luxurious personal space.”
To create Celebrity Edge’s outdoor public spaces, we recruited internationally acclaimed architect Tom Wright of WKK, who has over 30 years’ experience and is the designer of such world-famous projects as Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Hotel. With Tom’s vision, outdoor spaces are now transformed into serene outward-facing sanctuaries that showcase endless ocean views and the extraordinary places we visit.Learn More
