What is the metaverse?

The metaverse is a set of virtual spaces where you can create and explore with other people who are not in the same physical space as you. As the next generation of the internet, it serves as a key differentiator between Web 2.0 (a social-focused 2-dimensional source of information) to Web 3.0 (3-dimensional engagement hub, where users own their experiences rather than simply consume). It is designed to transform work, learning, gaming, social-interaction, and e-commerce.

What are ways to access metaverse?

Currently, the metaverse is accessible via web, tablet, or mobile browser. As technology advances over the next 10 years, these access-methods may change. For this engagement, the primary metaverse access method will be browser (primarily via desktop), to enable the easiest access for most people.

Pre-entry tips and tricks.

The Celebrity Wonderverse runs entirely in the browser. As such, responsiveness, real-time rendering and latency issues can be improved by maximizing the strength of your internet connection.

We recommend that you close out of any unused applications on your computer—especially heavy apps like Safari, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Suite, or other browsers.
Use WASD, arrow keys, or click-to-move in order to navigate throughout the Celebrity Wonderverse.
Any sittable area enables you to join an audio or video channel with other participants. Remember you must unmute your mic every time you join a conversation in a sitting area or while walking throughout the space.
If you experience significant freezing or latency, simply close and restart your browser, and log-in again.

What does a metaverse experience currently look like?

The metaverse is a virtual world experience designed for users to constantly be interacting with and learning from, to keep their engagement. From logging in, users can replicate real world activities (dancing, listening to music, shopping, watching videos, drive cars & boats, swimming, running around, etc.) as well as experience non-realistic activities.
