Norwegian fjords and Europe’s largest glacier await you on a Norway cruise.
Natural wonders and once-in-a-lifetime experiences abound on a Norway cruise. Eagles soar in blue skies above. Whales and seals play in the deep fjords. Colors dance in the sky when the aurora borealis is visible. And fjords are around every turn.
The town of Stavanger, where you can hike to Pulpit Rock, is the fourth largest city in Norway. It lies at the entrance to the Gandsfjord, protected from the North Sea, of which the region is very dependent. You’ll travel by bus and ferry across the Hidlefjord to Tau and through the village of Jørpeland, along the Idsefjord to the Prekestol-chalet where your 2-1/2 mile hike begins through mountain terrain dotted with small lakes. On your Norway cruise, enjoy stunning views of mountains, the fjord, and waterfalls from the flat plateau almost 2000 feet above the Lysefjord. The return takes the same route back to Prekestol-chalet where we pick up our bus and return to Stavanger.
