Regardless of vaccination status, everyone can now sail with us*. View Health & Safety requirements
Protocols are subject to change as destinations continue to adapt, and we continually evaluate and update these requirements as new information becomes available. Booked guests will be advised of the latest requirements leading up to departure.
For itineraries that have a port of call in Australia and New Zealand, there are 3 documents guests must complete as soon as possible prior to sailing:
*Guests onboard the January 14th, 2023 Celebrity Eclipse sailing are exempt from completing the NZeTA forms, as the sailing does not visit an Australian port.
Vaccine Policy to Sail
All guests ages 12 and older must be fully vaccinated to sail.*
COVID-19 booster vaccine shots are not currently required to sail but are highly recommended.
Guests are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series (such as Pfizer or Moderna vaccines); or, 2 weeks after a one dose series such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
Vaccines approved and accepted by the TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) will be considered valid.
Guests with a mixed series of any two of the following vaccines taken within a minimum of 28 days between doses, will also be considered fully vaccinated:
Any guest who has received one dose of a vaccine (other than Johnson & Johnson/Janssen) will not be considered fully vaccinated.
All guests ages 12 must provide documentation of full vaccination at the terminal as a condition for boarding.
Please plan to carry your vaccination documentation with you at all times while in port should local authorities or businesses request it to help facilitate entry and/or experiences.
*Guests onboard the January 14th, 2023 Celebrity Eclipse sailing are exempt from the vaccination requirement and can now cruise as long as they meet testing requirements to board. While vaccinations are not currently required to sail on Celebrity Cruises, they are highly recommended.
Sailing Testing Requirements
Pre-Arrival/Embarkation Covid-19 Testing
All guests ages 2 and older must test negative for COVID-19 in order to board their sailing.
Accepted test options include:
All guests ages 2 and older will be asked to present proof of a negative test result. Test results may be presented as a printout, screenshot or photo of the test result or the actual test.
For guests traveling internationally and selecting the RAT testing option, we strongly recommend purchasing a test kit in your home country and traveling with it in order to meet the one-day prior-to-boarding testing requirement.
No Debark testing is required.
Certificates of Recovery
Guests who have recently recovered from COVID-19 may present a Certificate of Recovery and proof of the positive PCR or RAT test result taken between 11 and less than 90 days prior to the sail date in order to board and be exempt from testing. The Certificate of Recovery can be presented as an NHS COVID Pass, EU Certificate of Recovery or as a letter from a healthcare provider. In addition, you must still present a vaccination card. Please be aware that some ports of call do not accept a Certificate of Recovery for the purposes of debarking and enjoying the destination. We will not accept a Certificate of Recovery in place of a vaccination record.
PRE-CRUISE Test Kit Resources for U.S. Guests
Numerous rapid antigen tests (RAT) are now commercially available at drugstores, pharmacies and other locations. We are also pleased to make a guided test option available for order pre-cruise for U.S. guests. We suggest that you order the test kit(s) at least 10 days in advance of your sailing and plan to travel with them, in order to complete the 1-day prior-to-boarding testing requirement. While these tests exceed government requirements, they do feature a certified guide who walks you through the testing steps and your results are typically ready in about 15 minutes. The cost for COVID-19 test kits may be covered by your health insurance plan. Please check with your insurance provider for coverage benefits.
All guests should wear a mask while travelling through the terminal and in public indoor spaces or crowded outdoor spaces onboard. Guests under 2 years of age will not need to wear a mask.
Celebrity Cruises follows the requirements in all jurisdictions we sail, and please note that mask requirements may vary by the destinations visited on your sailing and/or disembarkation port. This policy is continually updated, and any changes will be shared with guests.
Please note: These protocols are subject to change.
Excursions and Going Ashore
All guests may explore on their own in ports of call.
Based upon conditions or regulations in the countries you visit, this policy may change and you may be required to go ashore on a shore excursion provided by Celebrity Cruises. These decisions are always made with your health and safety as our top priority and will be communicated to guests.
Guests that do not meet the testing and health screening policy requirements will be denied boarding.
