Celebrity Summit

Celebrity Summit® is ready to turn heads again after completing a dramatic transformation. The ship’s revitalization is the next chapter of The Celebrity Revolution, our extensive modernization effort, with more than $500-million in upgrades across the fleet.

The all-new Celebrity Summit’s revolutionary enhancements include completely redesigned staterooms and suites, the addition of The Retreat for suite guests, stunningly reimagined restaurants, bars and lounges, fully-redesigned spa and casino, and more.

Celebrity Summit’s bow-to-stern transformation began on February 17, 2019, in Freeport, Grand Bahama. It spent a total of 31 days in the skilled hands of thousands of engineers, architects, artisans, designers, contractors, and members of the Celebrity team who collaborated to ensure flawless execution of the ship’s dramatic modernization.

Fellow Captain’s Club members, the Hyde family, had the pleasure of sailing on Celebrity Summit after she completed her transformation.

Celebrity Equinox

Scheduled to be back at sea post-modernization on June 1, 2019, Celebrity Equinox will have received several exciting updates for you to enjoy, along with a new Homeport.

Equinox will depart exclusively from the new state-of-the-art Terminal 25 in Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, for her 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. The sleek and beautiful Terminal 25 features Expedited Arrival technology for a quick and seamless check-in, plus an exclusive area for Suite Class guests featuring a singular path to The Retreat with an exclusive lounge, elevator lobbies, screening areas, and even a private rooftop terrace.

We’re proud to showcase some exciting news about two very special leaders at Celebrity Cruises.

Earlier this month, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, our President and CEO, was awarded the highest honor in the cruise industry, the Lifetime Achievement Award by Cruise Line Industry Association. It is presented to individuals who have made monumental, positive contributions to the cruise industry. And that sums up Lisa perfectly. Congratulations, Lisa!

Captain Kate McCue was recently profiled in a New York Times article. She is the first American woman to captain a cruise ship starting back in 2015. She’s due to be at the helm of Celebrity Edge starting late in 2019. Read the article here.

And finally, both Lisa Lutoff-Perlo AND Captain Kate McCue made the Conde Nast Traveler “The Women Who Travel Power List.” They’re two of 30 women chosen because they’re helping pave the way for all female travelers. Our hats off to each of the powerhouse women mentioned, and we are sure that between Lisa and Captain McCue’s traveling miles, they could have been to Mars and back!
