Guided Walk Denali

 

 

Enjoy a moderate walk through the Denali area narrated by a naturalist guide. Discover beautiful landmarks and fascinating glacial and geological history. Walk through the boreal forests and learn how the local flora and fauna have adapted to the extreme subarctic environment. This popular tour usually paces about one mile an hour and includes frequent stops with an elevation gain of up to 300 ft.

Wilderness Float Trip on the Nenana River

Rafting the Nenana River

 

 

Experience Nenana River on an exciting water rafting adventure. Choose a mild course through the Upper Nenana Scenic Wilderness with just enough whitewater (Class II and II+) the whole family will enjoy. Or, go for a more advanced course (Class III or IV) through Nenana Gorge Canyon for a whitewater adventure with beautiful canyon views. Both trips are eleven miles and feature unforgettable Denali scenery.

Denali by Helicopter

Set off on a helicopter ride through Alaska backcountry and enjoy bird’s eye views of some of nature’s most stunning works. High above, you’ll view incredible details of how the Pacific and North American tectonic plates collided to create massive mountain peaks and the numerous glaciers that have carved their way through this rugged landscape. Then, step out onto  Yanert Glacier and see the Alaska Range, ancient glaciers, and towering peaks all around at every turn. Tundra Wilderness Tour

Travel 53 miles into the Denali National Park & Preserve to Toklat River rest area where this fascinating tour begins. Enjoy incredible scenic views and wildlife as you listen to a narrated history of the park road. This tour also includes a snack box and water. Denali ATV Wilderness Adventure

Take a memorable ride through scenic Alaskan wilderness on a single or side by side ATV. Ride along the Denali National Park trails on a 10 mile adventure at speeds up to 30 mph. Enjoy 1 ½ hours on trails with scenic views of the Alaska Range, Otto Lake, and the Healy Valley. Navigate rocky creek beds and splash through water (weather permitting). Your expert guides will lead you through the rugged terrain and provide opportunities for photography.

Fly Fish in Denali for the Evening

Set off on a fly-fishing tour designed for all levels of experience. Beginners get a quick lesson in the basics of fly casting, selection, handling, and release techniques. Then, together with your guide, you’ll look for native Arctic Grayling in small crystal clear water streams. This personalized experience includes all the gear you’ll need: lightweight rods to reels, hand tied flies, hip waders, guide, instructions, and round-trip transportation from your lodge.
