I joined Celebrity Cruises last year as Vice President and Managing Director for EMEA, but first experienced the brand many years ago and was immediately in awe of the spectacular onboard interiors.

More recently, I was lucky enough to sail on board Celebrity AscentSM for my first Celebrity Cruises Naming Ceremony. I highly recommend experiencing this stunning ship sailing from Europe this year.

I’m also incredibly excited that Celebrity Apex® will be sailing direct from Southampton this year. From a destination perspective, there are so many hidden gems in Europe and I’m particularly fond of the charming coastal villages, vineyards and busting cities of France, having lived there for 8 years.

Greece, Turkey & Italy | Celebrity Ascent | 11 Nights | 18 June 2024

I recommend the Taste of Sorrento and Pompei Tour which visits a Sorrento farmhouse near Naples. You can see how mozzarella is made and sample some of the most outstanding local produce. And Pompeii is a stunning and thought-provoking experience.

If you’re looking for relaxation, take a short trip from Santorini to the Island of Nea Kamini to experience the natural, therapeutic hot springs.

On board, the Magic Carpet is one of my favourite spaces, there’s simply no better place to sit back with a cocktail and enjoy the sunset.

Spain, Portugal and Mediterranean | Celebrity Apex | 13 Nights | 3 August 2024

I think one of the best ways to experience the sights of Porto is to hop on the Porto City and River Cruise. You’ll see the city from a unique perspective and end the tour at a local wine cellar.

There’s so much to see and do in Lisbon, including the exciting tram rides and the stunning aquarium, but for me, a trip to the world Heritage site of Sintra is not to be missed.

In Ibiza, I recommend a walk round the old town and stopping to sample some delicious local seafood.

With Celebrity Apex® sailing from Southampton, enjoy all of this without the hassle of flying.

Italian Riviera & France | Celebrity Equinox | 9 Nights | 13 June 2024

If you’re keen to explore, you can’t beat a bike ride through the charming French villages of Provence.

For astonishing views over Nice, where I got engaged many years ago, head to Castle Hill where you can breathe in the fresh Mediterranean air.

If you fancy something a bit different in Florence, I’d suggest exploring the impressive fashion museums belonging to Gucci and Ferragano.

Back on board, I can’t recommend Sushi on Five enough. Their sushi is as good as any I’ve tasted around the world – I could easily have had this for lunch every day!
