What is your favourite part of Celebrity Edge®

I had the most amazing time on Celebrity Edge®. The staff onboard offered outstanding and intuitive service. The 4 main dining restaurants offered a world class menu – creative inspiration and local ingredients and with a distinctive design and ambience, it felt like you were eating in a specialty restaurant.

I also loved the transformational Infinite Balcony. At the touch of a button, your balcony opens up and the stateroom is directly connected to the fresh sea air.

Best port you've sailed to and why?

My favourite port to sail away from is Venice. I have been on several Venice cruises and every time it's amazing. As you start to sail away from port make sure to head to the top deck, and watch the ship navigate around the bends of the canal and see the beautiful views.

The ship plays operatic music and the view is exquisite as you sail past St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace. It’s the best way to see Venice. You can't quite believe this mighty cruise ship is in this small stretch of water and is sharing it with gondolas and smaller vessels. It's something that I would recommend to everyone as a must see.

Top cruise tip

My recommendation is to treat the ship like it's your home away from home. As soon as you get onboard and are welcomed with your glass of bubbly, take a tour. Have fun navigating your way around, the decks, the venues, and get to the know the ship inside out. Treat the staff like they are your friends and you will have the most amazing experience.

What couldn't you travel without in your suitcase?

I can't travel without books. I love to have a good book that I can sit on deck with on the relaxing sea days, put my feet up and listen to the waves as I lose myself in the story. I also take away travel guides for the places that I am visiting, as I like to know the best places to see in each port that I am going to, so I can make the most of my time in that destination.
