Celebrity Apex Inaugural and Naming

We were thrilled to welcome Celebrity ApexSM to Fort Lauderdale earlier this month to kick of the ship’s inaugural Caribbean season. The festivities on board were truly spectacular and included the ship's official naming ceremony led by Celebrity Apex’s Godmother, Reshma Saujani—founder of the groundbreaking non-profit organization Girls Who Code and author of bestseller Brave, Not Perfect. Originally planned for March 2020, Celebrity Apex’s arrival was long awaited and an incredible reunion for many. Following a short run of Greek Island sailings this summer, the ship now embarks from the United States for the first time and will offer Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries with visits to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Belize, Grand Cayman, and more. We’re excited to share footage of Celebrity Apex’s grand debut.

Steel Cutting

We had another monumental event this month—our official steel cutting ceremony for Celebrity AscentSM, the fourth ship in our award-winning Edge® Series. The ceremony took place at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France and signalled the next chapter in a remarkable year for us.

Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud

Chef Daniel Boulud gave us a sneak peek of a dish from his first restaurant at sea — Le VoyageSM by Daniel Boulud debuting on Celebrity Beyond. If you missed this cooking demonstration, watch it here.

Grand Voyage

We’re excited to introduce a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step aboard the first revolutionary Edge® Series ship, Celebrity Edge®, and journey for up to 52 nights and more than 10,000 nautical miles from Rome to Sydney—visiting 11 countries and 25 of the most interesting places on the planet, including Aqaba, Jordan; Mumbai (Bombay), India; Dubai, UAE; Phuket, Thailand; Singapore, and Christchurch, New Zealand—to name a few. The best part? There’s still time to reserve your spot.
