I've been with Celebrity for 25 years. I take great pride in helping guests on every step of their journey. Even simple gestures can go a long way
I'm always happy to go the extra mile for our guests. If that means finding a deck chair for you to enjoy your favorite spot on the ship, I'll be glad to help.
One guest asked me to help him surprise his wife for their anniversary. I set a special table for them with roses, candles, Reidel glasses and a specially selected bottle of wine. His wife was moved by these special touches and they had a memorable evening celebrating their marriage.
I went to the Ocean View Café one evening for a late night snack. An older couple seemed confused so I brought them utensils and glasses of water. After chatting for a while they realized I didn't work in the café but in the casino as a cashier. For the rest of the voyage they stopped by the casino every day just to say hello!
During one of the Elite Members cocktail lounges, I met a very nice older couple, in their 80s. They were together more than 60 years and they were happy to tell me their life story. It was a pleasure to listen to them and at of the end of the conversation I told them how honored I was that they chose to share it with me. They were back to back guests and we met several times around the ship. Every time I met them I could see their faces light up with a big smile and they would always stop to have another chat.
At the age of 17 I went abroad, and studied for 6 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After getting my Master’s Degree in Gastronomy and Administration I worked in prestigious hotels, which lead him to run his own restaurant with one of his fellow colleagues. Being a people person and gaining experience in customer relations, as well vendor’s interaction. I joined Celebrity Cruises in 2012, firstly as a cook, before ultimately finding home within the Shore Excursions department as an Assistant Shore Excursions Manager.
I was on my way to dinner and an elderly couple approached me for some directions to the fine dining restaurant. I escorted the guest to every restaurant on board and explained the concept to them and then wished them a very happy cruise. The guests came to the Guest Relations Desk looking for me on the last night and told me that they thoroughly enjoyed the Murano and the cruise overall. The guests thanked me for taking the time to escort them to the restaurants and making them feel special. Little things go a long way and I am happy to leave the guest with a smile.
I always enjoy bringing new guests into the Casino and teaching them how to play any of the table games. Casinos can be intimidating at times and it brings a smile to my face to see guests enjoying their vacation and learning something new that they can take home with them.
