President Laura Hodges Bethge

Officially taking the helm as President of Celebrity Cruises on May 1, 2023, we are thrilled to announce Laura will be hosting this year's President's Cruise. Most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Shared Services Operations, Laura Hodges Bethge has been with the company more than 23 years and has held senior positions in many different areas including product development, hotel and marine operations, sales, marketing, product innovation, market development and investor relations. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Product Development for Royal Caribbean International, and led the teams conceptualizing their groundbreaking ships, private island destinations, and new experiences introduced throughout the award-winning fleet, including the first island in Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day Island Collection – Perfect Day at CocoCay.

Captain Kate McCue

Captain Kate was born in San Francisco, CA. Her passion for cruising began at 12 years old when her parents took her on her first cruise. She attended the California Maritime Academy and upon graduating she has worked her way up to her current position and is proud to serve as the Master of Celebrity Beyond. Her top priority is the safety of all onboard, the welfare of the crew and delivering an amazing cruise experience to our guests. She sails with her hairless cat, Bug Naked and enjoys interacting and engaging with her guests. When not onboard, she spends her vacation at home in Las Vegas with her Chief Engineer husband.
