INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY SAILING
March 8, 2020
You may be surprised to learn that just 2% of the world’s mariners are women. But we’re leading the way to change that and create a more diverse future in our industry. With bold initiatives to Bridge the Gap, we’re bringing gender equality to the seven seas.
As part of our Bridge the Gap initiative, we’re excited to announce the first-ever cruise sailing that features an entirely female bridge and hotel officer team. This ground-breaking sailing takes place on International Women’s Day—March 8, 2020—aboard the revolutionary ship, Celebrity Edge®—the perfect ship for this revolutionary sailing.
On board, you’ll enjoy special programming, including a dedicated speaker’s series, networking opportunities, film and documentary screenings, and more. This sailing and all the activities are all focused on our goal of inspiring a new generation of girls and women to pursue careers in the maritime field.
Join us for this historic sailing with Captain Kate McCue at the helm (the first American female cruise ship captain).
