If you’re new to cruising, you’ve no doubt wondered: “What is included on a cruise?” It’s a question that even seasoned cruisers continue to ask, particularly when sailing on a new trip.

Cruising is a great, hassle-free vacation option. Not only do you wake up in a fascinating new destination every morning, but you also have more inclusions than on a typical land-based getaway.

Here, we demystify what is typically included on a cruise, from the kids’ clubs to the theater.

Accommodation

Stateroom

Whether your stateroom preference is an inside, oceanview, or veranda stateroom, or a luxurious suite, your accommodations will always be included within the cost of your cruise fare.

Depending on your type of stateroom, your cabin accommodation will most likely include a private bathroom with ample storage space, a sitting area, and a flat-screen TV, complemented with a modern design.

Over 85 percent of Celebrity’s staterooms have a veranda, offering the perfect private outdoor space to enjoy a morning cappuccino as you watch the sunrise over the ocean or pre-dinner cocktails as the sun melts into the horizon.

Staterooms and suites are available to suit solo travelers, couples, families, or passengers that require accessible rooms with wheelchair access.

Spa

If you’re a spa enthusiast, stay in Celebrity Cruises’ AquaClass, conveniently located by the ship’s spa. Staterooms feature eXhale(R) bedding, premium bath amenities, a personal spa concierge service, in-room fitness amenities, healthy room-service menu options, and a yoga mat.

AquaClass guests also enjoy complimentary dining at Blu restaurant, unlimited access to the SEA Thermal Suite or The Persian Garden, and complimentary Fitness Classes.

There’s also the option to book a Concierge Class stateroom, which comes with extra perks such as personalized concierge service. On the Kelly Hoppen-designed Edge-class ships, the innovative Infinite Veranda cabins are a great option, too.

These spacious staterooms have a floor-to-ceiling window, where, with the touch of a button, your entire living space becomes the veranda, letting you walk right out to the water’s edge.

With an extraordinary selection of choices for every taste, from casual to upscale to sweet treats and home comforts, food is one of the best things about cruising.

Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the grand setting of the Main Restaurant. Tuck into an indulgent feast of chilled shrimp followed by a succulent aged-prime rib one night followed by baked French onion soup topped with gooey Gruyere cheese and a flavorsome seared salmon the next.

Other options include a spa cafe for healthy eaters, the Mast Grill for relaxed, poolside dining, and the laidback Oceanview Cafe, a market-style venue offering dishes from around the world, including made-to-order pizza, sushi, pasta, a salad bar, and a full range of appetizers, entrees, and desserts.

If you wish to try something different, there’s also a selection of mouthwatering specialty restaurants, but those come at an extra cost.
