Trdelník is a pastry of rolled dough wrapped around a wooden (traditional) or metal (modern) dowel and cooked over direct heat. The resulting hollow, crisp, and flaky pastry is rolled in sugar and chopped walnuts. Trdelník is a popular tourist street food in Prague.
