char siu
Char siu is a method of preparing barbecued pork that originated in China and made popular in Southeast Asia. Char siu’s iconic sauce of hoisin sauce, honey, soy sauce, and shaoxing (Chinese cooking wine) is spread over pork, which is skewered on long forks and cooked over hot coals.
