laulau
Lau lau is a native Hawaiian dish made with fatty pork or miso-marinated or salted butterfish (black cod) wrapped first in taro and ti leaves, tied, and steamed. The outer leaf is removed and discarded to reveal a juicy, melt-in-your-mouth bundle served alongside rice or poi.
