ka’ak (simit)
There are a few different baked goods that go by the name ka’ak. One is a Lebanese purse bread that looks like an elongated pretzel and is sprinkled with sesame seeds rather than salt. Another kind of ka’ak is a sweet pastry of semolina flour that’s stuffed with walnuts, dates, or pistachios.
