For Edward Ustanik, celebrating 30 years of marriage with his wife, Nicole, called for something truly special. The answer was an 8-night sailing to the ABC Islands—Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao—aboard Celebrity Reflection, a journey that quickly became more than an anniversary trip. It became a defining memory.
Edward and Nicole had been cruising since 2014, but when it came time to try something new, they did their homework. They watched cruise vlogs, read reviews, and compared experiences. Again and again, one name rose to the top: Celebrity. What drew them in was the balance—an atmosphere that felt elevated yet relaxed, with standout dining, exciting destinations, and a reputation for genuinely taking care of our guests. That promise came to life from the moment they stepped on board.
For their anniversary sailing, Edward surprised Nicole by upgrading to AquaClass®, a decision that elevated the entire experience. Dining at Blu quickly became a highlight, with meals that felt thoughtful, refined, and unlike anything they had experienced on previous cruises. Just as memorable were the small, personal touches: a dessert delivered at dinner with “Happy Anniversary” written just for them, a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in their stateroom, and a quiet breakfast in their cabin on a sea day, thoughtfully arranged by their room attendant.

Their story together stretches well beyond the open sea. Edward was born in northwest Indiana and grew up in Lansing, Illinois, while Nicole is from Chicago Heights. They met while working at a local electrical distributor in the early 1990s and married in 1994, building a life rooted in hard work, family, and shared goals. Edward has spent more than 35 years in the electrical industry and now serves as a branch manager for City Electric Supply in Port Orange, Florida. Nicole, an accountant for more than three decades, has built a career supporting organizations that keep communities moving.
Today, they share that sense of adventure with their daughter Kristina, who is studying to become a nurse. With every cruise, they continue adding new chapters to a story already rich with milestones.
As Edward prepares to celebrate his 60th birthday, the couple is once again turning to Celebrity, this time for a 10-night Ultimate Southern Caribbean sailing aboard Celebrity Ascent. With five new destinations on the itinerary, including St. Lucia, Barbados, Antigua, and St. Kitts & Nevis, the excitement is already building.
