You've booked the cruise. Congratulations. Here are a few things to think about. First, your passport can't have less than six months on it before it needs to be renewed. (If that's the case, renew it now.) Next, consider how you're getting to the ship and whether you need a transfer from the airport. Also, please print your luggage tags-so it will be very clear which ship you're sailing on, the dates you're going, and the stateroom you're occupying. And, last but not least, think about what are you going to wear!

Why is having the required documentation important?
Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding their flight or ship, or from disembarking or entering a country, and may be subject to fines.
Also, it is important that the name on the reservation be exactly as it is stated on the passport or other official citizenship document. If a name has changed since the document was issued (ie.marriage/divorce), it is required that the document be updated with the new name, or provide official supporting document(s) of the name change. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding.
Celebrity Cruises® strongly recommends that all guests travel with a valid passport with at least six (6) months validity during their cruise (and if traveling to Ecuador, it is required). This greatly assists guests who may need to fly out of the United States to meet their ship at the next available port should they miss their scheduled embarkation in a U.S. port; guests entering the U.S. at the end of their cruise; and guests needing to fly to the U.S. before their cruise ends because of medical, family, personal or business emergencies, missing a ship's departure from a port of call, involuntary disembarkation from a ship due to misconduct, or other reasons. Guests who need to fly to the United States before their cruise ends will likely experience significant delays and complications related to booking airline tickets and entering the United States if they do not have a valid U.S. passport with them. Your cruise/cruisetour documents provide information relevant to the sailing. Normally, documents will be received 30-50 days prior to sailing, assuming cruise elements are finalized and payments made. Group and Air/Sea documents require additional steps and will normally be received within 30 days of sailing.
Documentation for bookings will be provided electronically via the Internet (eDocs). A printed version of the cruise document can be obtained for a fee of $35 per book.
Documents may not be provided in advance for bookings finalized the week of sailing; you will obtain pertinent details at the pier prior to boarding and onboard the ship. Regardless of document status, no one will be allowed passage unless his or her name appears on the ship's guest manifest. All cruise/cruisetour tickets and air arrangements are valid only for the named passenger and may not be sold or transferred.
In order to make your boarding process as simple as possible, we offer an online method for providing information we need before you can embark on the vessel. Just visit Celebrity Cruises Online Check-In to fill out your embarkation forms. For those who do not provide the information online, embarkation forms will automatically be included with your cruise documents. Please fill out these forms before you leave.
NOTE: Applicable laws and regulations may require Celebrity to collect and pass on to governmental and other authorized bodies certain personal and other details related to you. If you fail to supply the details requested fully and accurately, you may not be permitted to board the ship or your flight. If, as a result of your failure to comply with the foregoing, Celebrity incurs any fines, surcharges or other financial penalty, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
Make sure you have the proper forms of identification needed for your particular trip. Give yourself plenty of time to obtain or renew your passport, if necessary.
Before leaving home, please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the required travel documents you will be asked to provide prior to boarding the ship.
CAUTION: The requirements described below are government regulations and policies. They are subject to change without notice. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. These appropriate valid travel documents, such as passports, visas, inoculation certificate and family legal documents, are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries. For your protection (and if traveling to Ecuador, it is required), we recommend that your passport expiration date not occur within six (6) months following the voyage termination date.

Canadian citizens that board a cruise ship at a port within the U.S., travel within the Western Hemisphere and return to a different U.S. port on the same ship will require a valid Passport, Enhanced Driver's License or Trusted Traveler Program Card such as Nexus, Sentri, or Fast.
All other citizens that board a cruise ship at a port within the U.S., travel within the Western Hemisphere and return to a different U.S. port on the same ship will require a valid Passport or U.S. Alien Registration Card.

Guests on consecutive sailings must ensure they have the proper travel documents for their cruise vacation.
All travelers, including children, must present a valid passport or secure travel document when entering the United States by air.

This is a pre-travel authorization program for U.S. bound travelers from Visa Waiver Countries. This is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) program. The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is mandatory, and all travelers, regardless of age, from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries will be required to complete an online application similar to the I-94W and obtain an ESTA approval prior to boarding a carrier by air or sea to the United States under the VWP. Guests who apply electronically will be required to present their ESTA authorization approval receipt in order to board the vessel on applicable voyages.
For countries currently listed on the U.S. Government website that are participating in the Visa Waiver Program, please visit the U.S. Department of State.
Travelers from the VWP countries seeking to enter the United States will also be required to have in their possession a machine-readable passport.

All guests must ensure they are medically fit for travel. As such, we remind you to check with your physician at least 4 to 6 weeks before sailing to make sure you are up to date with any required immunizations or vaccines you may need (including but not limited to certification of yellow fever vaccination) to ensure you will be permitted to visit each of the exciting destinations and tours on your itinerary.

Should the last names of the parent and minor child traveling with them differ, the parent is required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) and the child's Government Issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy). The name of the parent(s) and the child must be linked through legal documentation.
Adults who are not the parent or legal guardian of any minor child traveling with them are required to present the child's valid passport and visa (if required) or the child's Government Issued birth certificate (original, a notarized copy or a certified copy) and an original notarized letter signed by at least one of the child's parents. The notarized letter from the child's parent must authorize the traveling adult to take the child on the specific cruise and must authorize the traveling adult to supervise the child and permit any medical treatment that must be administered to the child. If a non-parent adult is a legal guardian, the adult must present a certified Certificate of Guardianship with respect to the child.
If, as a result of your lack of proper documentation, a fine or other cost is incurred by Celebrity Cruises, you agree to indemnify Celebrity Cruises for such expenses. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify all travel, inoculation and health requirements and obtain and have available, when necessary, the appropriate valid travel documents, such as passports and visas; inoculation documents, such as Yellow Fever certificates; and other health requirements.
To better help you prepare for your vacation, here are some guidelines on what to pack. Keep in mind that 'relaxed elegance' are the bywords for dress onboard each of Celebrity Cruises' ships. And though your own taste, interests and destinations will determine what you pack, you'll need three types of clothing: casual shipboard attire or day wear, comfortable apparel for sightseeing and evening wear.
OK. So what do you pack? You'll need three types of clothing-casual or day wear, clothes for sightseeing (this clothing also needs to take into account what excursions you have planned) and evening wear. When you're on the ship or in a port of call, stylish resort wear is fine for everyone. If you're traveling in a warmer climate, this includes walking shorts and polo shirts, swimsuits and cover-ups, lightweight slacks or skirts and a light sweater. For cooler climates, you'll want casual clothing that can be layered. Don't forget to pack a raincoat or umbrella, and perhaps a waterproof hat and gloves. On any Celebrity Cruise it's smart to bring comfortable, rubber-soled shoes, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. And, remember to pack your prescription medications and other personal care items you'll need.
For the safety of our guests and crew there are certain items that are not allowed onboard. If these are found they will be confiscated. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, and dangerous chemicals will not be returned.
Evenings aboard Celebrity include two types of dress: "Smart Casual and Above" and "Formal."
"Smart Casual and Above"
Ladies: Skirt or pants (no holes, rips or tears) with a sweater or blouse.
Gentlemen: Pants (no holes, rips or tears) with a sports shirt or sweater. Shirts must have sleeves.
Ladies: Cocktail dress, gown, or a dressy pantsuit.
Gentlemen: Tuxedo, suit or dinner jacket with slacks.
Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the "Smart Casual and Above" dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances.
The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the appropriate attire each evening. A casual dress code applies at all times onboard Celebrity Xpedition®.
Each passenger is permitted to carry a reasonable amount of personal property (including luggage) aboard the vessel; however, for your comfort and convenience, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take. Guests who have made air arrangements on their own or with Celebrity Cruises should check with their air carrier for specific baggage policies related to the following: Number of bags allowed, baggage weight restrictions, baggage size restrictions, special conditions for sports equipment, or additional restrictions, as the air carrier may impose additional fees for some or all of these items. Celebrity Cruises will not be responsible for any additional fees incurred as a result of carrier baggage restrictions.
Bring an overnight bag for your last night at sea. Staff will collect your bags the night before you leave the ship, and you will need an overnight bag to carry your night clothes and toiletries.
Be sure to identify all your bags, including carry-ons. Use your Celebrity Cruises luggage tags, which should be filled out and affixed to each piece before you leave home.
Insure all luggage and valuables. Celebrity Cruises cannot be responsible for their loss or damage. Baggage protection, as well as a variety of other coverages designed to protect you during your cruise vacation, are offered through CruiseCare Vacation Protection.
Check to see that your tickets, boarding card and other documents are in order, and pack them in a bag that you carry with you. Your Embarkation Card and Celebrity SeaPass® Account application should be completed before you arrive at the pier.

We reserve the right to choose the air carrier, routing and city airport from each gateway city and further reserve the right to substitute charter or commuter flights for scheduled air service without notice. Airline tickets we issue are highly restrictive and you may find that your ticket cannot be exchanged, reissued or revalidated for another carrier or routing. Once your ticket has been issued, any changes to the ticket you request us to make shall be at our discretion and a fee may apply for each such change. You may be able to make changes by contacting the airline directly and any changes or fees imposed shall be borne by you. Each Luggage Tag Mailer contains eight (8) colorized tags, specific to your ship, sailing date and stateroom assignment. Simply attach your luggage tags to the appropriate luggage items prior to your arrival, and we'll whisk them to your stateroom upon embarkation.

It is your responsibility to arrive on time for boarding. Please check with your travel agent to confirm boarding and departure times. Due to government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, you are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to your cruise. Failure to check in and be onboard at least 60 minutes in advance will constitute a no-show. Your booking will be canceled, and cancellation charges will be assessed.
Note: For security reasons, guests are not allowed to bring visitors on board Celebrity vessels in any port.
