Celebrity Edge® is officially ours and she’s ready to embark on her Maiden Voyages out of Fort Lauderdale. Celebrity Cruises President and CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo officially took delivery of Edge with our Chairman Richard Fain and it was such a thrill for all of us to watch her sail into Port Everglades in late November and attend her naming ceremony in early December.  Watch the videos of each event and get on board now!

We’re opening up the world in new places with new spaces—now more than ever—for our 2020-2021 season of sailings. We’re introducing new cities and destination experiences across the globe. From exciting new ports in Japan, Greenland, and Italy (to name a few) to Canadian Rockies Cruisetours that will lead you far from the coastline into the breathtaking wilderness of the rugged Rocky Mountains. With more than 280 ports in 77 countries, more than 165 overnight stays, and even more time to explore some of the most incredible destinations on earth, you’ll open your world even further with our carefully curated itineraries and in-depth shore excursions offered in every port. You’ll find something for every kind of traveler, from the seasoned globe-trotter searching for a new favorite corner of the world to the first-time explorer expanding their horizons to discover just what the world has to offer.

We’ve added new ports, including Salvador De Bahia, Brazil and Ishigaki, Japan to the growing list of destinations we visit, and we’re making much-anticipated returns to Kusadasi, Turkey; Agadir, Morocco; and Penang, Malaysia. The new places and new spaces in our 2020-21 season of sailings offer so many world-opening experiences, you’ll find deciding which one you want to book next an adventure of its own.

In our 2020-21 season, we’re excited to introduce Celebrity Apex℠, the second ship in our Edge Series. She’ll be debuting in Europe, where she’ll join her sister, Celebrity Edge®. After raising the bar on vacations in the Mediterranean, both ships will offer transatlantic crossings to the sun-soaked islands of the Caribbean, where they’ll winter in modern style. These two ships were designed to change the way you experience the world, and they’ll be taking the world by storm.

Celebrity Edge started The Celebrity Revolution℠, and it continues in 2020-2021 with the modernization of four of our already award-winning ships: Celebrity Silhouette®, Celebrity Constellation®, Celebrity Infinity®, and Celebrity Eclipse®. Our revolutionized fleet will make every Celebrity vacation even more luxurious.

2019 will be a monumental year for Celebrity Cruises

South America (2020-21)

Explore the beauty and warmth of South America aboard the newly revolutionized Celebrity Silhouette®—the first time she’s sailed these waters. Silhouette has been enhanced with two new suite categories, and an exclusive lounge area reserved just for suite guests—The Retreat. Not only do we have a new ship sailing our South America itineraries, but we visit more destinations than ever before (32 cities in 9 countries). Plus, we’re introducing a new port of call—Salvador De Bahia, Brazil. We’ll also take you to new heights—literally—with a life-changing adventure to Machu Picchu.

Australia and New Zealand   (2020-21)

We’re bringing even more modern experiences to the Land Down Under with the introduction of our newly modernized Celebrity Eclipse®. Along with her sister ship, Celebrity Solstice®, Australia and New Zealand will have two of our award-winning Solstice® Class ships in this amazing corner of the world visiting even more ports than ever before. And, for the very first time, we’re sailing from Melbourne as a home port with Celebrity Eclipse. Celebrity Solstice will continue to call Sydney home while she’s Down Under.

Asia, Dubai, India (2020-21)

In Asia, India, and Dubai, we have two newly revolutionized ships, Celebrity Constellation® and Celebrity Millennium®, sailing to a new port of call, Ishigaki, Japan. They visit 10 countries and more than 25 incredible cities, featuring longer stays. In fact, our 2020-21 itineraries have more port visits longer than ten hours than ever before. Plus, our itineraries in this region also feature more overnight stays than ever before. Overnight stays include cities like Dubai and Hong Kong—an intriguing destination we haven’t visited for several years.

Europe (2020-21)

Sailings in Europe offer new places and new spaces like never before—90 destinations in 27 countries. We’re introducing Celebrity Apex℠, our newest Edge® Series ship, that will make her debut sailing from Southampton, England. Apex will offer our new 10-Night Capital Cities Cruise that visits some of the most iconic capitals in the region. She’ll move to the Mediterranean to summer there with her sister ship, Celebrity Edge®. Along with our two newest ships, the newly revolutionized Celebrity Silhouette® and Celebrity Constellation® will offer incredible sailings so you have even more ways to explore Europe.

Caribbean (2020-21)

This season, we have six stunning ships—including our two newest—visiting 27 sun-soaked Caribbean destinations in 18 countries. Longer stays in ports (many as much as 12 hours) let you explore everything each island has to offer, and five overnight stays, one of them a double overnight, represent the most Caribbean nights we’ve ever offered. The two most innovative ships in paradise, Celebrity Edge® and Celebrity Apex℠, will be island hopping during our 2020-21 Caribbean season. If you have sailed with us in the last six months, you may have seen or used Celebrity Move Up – our new program that allows you to bid on a stateroom upgrade. We launched this new system to make upgrading your experience faster, easier and more efficient.

 

You're In Control

Now, You’re in Control. Bid how much you want on the stateroom you want. Here’s how it works:

  • 30 days prior to sailing you will receive an email giving you the opportunity to bid on an upgrade.
  • As the sailing approaches bids are evaluated based on rooms available.
  • Your offer could be accepted any time from the moment it is submitted up until 2 days prior to departure.
  • If your bid is accepted, you will be emailed once your bid is processed and stateroom is changed.
  • You will receive an email 48 hours before your sailing if your bid was not successful.

 

You're Given Priority

As a valued Captain’s Club Member, your bids are given priority. Your priority increases as you move up tier levels. So, if two bids are equal, the Captain’s Club member with the higher tier wins. And as a loyalty member, here are some insider tips to help increase your chances of winning:

  • Winning is based on more than just the amount you bid. We also look at the type of room you originally booked. So, those in higher stateroom categories originally are more likely to win their bids.
  • You can bid on multiple categories at once. So, if you’re booked in an Ocean View stateroom, place a bid on Veranda, Concierge Class, and AquaClass®. The more staterooms you bid on, the more likely you’ll be chosen.
  • When placing your bid, try to keep the dial in the green zone to increase your chance of winning.

 

Remember, if there is a particular stateroom you absolutely must have, just book it. There’s no guarantee the room you want will be available to bid on or that your bid will win.
