Drink it Here, Then Drink it There…Craft Beer Experience Edition

Book a Celebrity Cruises vacation and you have three ways to enjoy craft beer.

Enjoy Craft Breweries in SoCal Before Your Trip

First, drink it in Southern California before you leave for your trip — which you’re probably already doing since the region is home to so many excellent craft beers.

A few favorite places in Southern California to try new microbrews include:

Stone Brewing Company:

Head down to Escondido to try some of Stone’s famously hoppy IPAs in a garden setting.

Bootlegger’s Brewery:

Located in Fullerton, this brewery is known for its creative brews, which you can try in the tasting room. Plus, Bootlegger’s welcomes your dog companion into the tasting room, too.

Beachwood Brewing:

This brewery has a social vibe and serves up some excellent beers made onsite — plus you can pair them with some of the BBQ food that Beachwood is also known for. Choose from two locations: Seal Beach or Long Beach.

Drink Some Brews While Onboard

Next, drink it onboard your Celebrity Cruises ship during your vacation. The onboard Gastrobar pours over 40 different kinds of boutique beers and serves gastropub-style food as well. The onboard lounge, Michael’s Club, also has a selection of craft beers that you can enjoy in an upscale, comfortable environment.

Try Some New & Local Beers While in Port.

This is easier to do depending on the itinerary you choose. Alaska cruises stop in Juneau, home to Alaskan Brewing Company; Skagway, where Gold Rush Brewery is located; and Anchorage, where you can visit Anchorage Brewing Company. These breweries have tasting rooms and tours of the beer making facilities that you can take.

In Europe, opt for a Baltic Sea cruise as opposed to the Mediterranean to get your fill of good beer. Baltic cruises stop in beer-centric ports like London, England; Rostock (Berlin), Germany; Zeebrugge, Belgium; and Copenhagen, Denmark. A highlight for many beer lovers during a Baltic cruise is a stop in Amsterdam where you can tour the massive and interactive Heineken brewery — not exactly a craft beer, but still a bonus for beer lovers while cruising.
