The Spa on the New Celebrity Edge Cruise Ship Will Leave You Feeling Rejuvenated and Connected to Nature
West coasters are known for their love of the outdoors, from hiking a mountain trail at sunrise to surfing the waves of the Pacific at sunset. If breathing in the salty air or taking in a desert horizon sounds like your idea of a perfect day, then you’ll love spending time at The Spa, the latest spa facility to make its debut on Celebrity Cruises’ fleet of ships.
The Spa will be introduced to the world on Celebrity Edge, the innovative new ship by Celebrity Cruises that is making its maiden voyage in December of this year. When the Celebrity Edge begins sailing, it is poised to change the way people view cruising, and one way it will do so is through The Spa.
A Cruise Spa with Nature in Mind
Like other areas of Celebrity Edge, the creation of The Spa was influenced by nature and incorporates the shapes and ambiance you’ll find when outdoors – only this time you’ll be experiencing it while blissfully sailing at sea on a luxurious cruise ship.
While you relax in The Spa, you’ll find that the entire 22,000 square foot facility is set up to let you enjoy soothing spa treatments while also feeling more connected to the sea surrounding you.
The natural respite The Spa is aiming to provide doesn’t just stop at the sea, but also expands to The Spa’s SEA philosophy – Sea, Earth, and Air.
The Spa Treatments and Services
SEA is being used to create the entire ambiance and experience at The Spa, right down to the treatments. Three new treatments that Celebrity Cruises has never had before on their ships will be available at The Spa.
- Spa Wave MLW Amphibia Table: Water filled cushions adapt to guests’ unique anatomy for the ultimate in comfort, as well as customizable color therapy lighting. This one isn’t just a first for Celebrity Cruises, it’s also a first at sea. If you love being in the ocean, you’ll love trying this treatment.
- WellMassage4D® Table: This award-winning treatment table uses breakthrough technology to deliver a deeper and more relaxing massage. Body sore from too many hikes? Sign up for this treatment.
- MLX Quartz Table: Warm crystals mold and shape around the body, releasing muscle tension and promoting a deeper state of relaxation. This is an excellent treatment for those who like to feel more connected to the elements of earth.
There are over 124 treatments that will be available at The Spa so you’ll be able to find something that is just the right fit for your body and mind’s needs, from massages and facials to acupuncture and pedicures plus much more.
For those looking for more targeted treatment, Ideal Image® Ocean, The Advanced MedSpa, is another cruise spa first at sea, that can accomplish that type of treatment since it will be offering esthetic services such as Dysport® Wrinkle Treatments and Restylane® Dermal Filler Treatments.
Your hair can also get the SEA experience at The Spa thanks to Celebrity Cruises’ partnership with Kérastase®, one of the world’s most advanced luxury haircare brands, and Celebrity Edge will have the first ever Kérastase® Institute at sea. Hot shaves are also offered at The Barber for the man whose beard needs some pampering while on vacation.
Even before your cruise spa treatment begins, you can begin your journey to peaceful rejuvenation thanks to the SEA Thermal Suite, which is a relaxation area like no other. It includes eight distinctive therapeutic experiences harnessing the benefits of natural elements: the Hammam, Salt Room, Steam Room, Rainfall Water Therapy Room, Float Room, heated tile loungers, Infrared Sauna, and Crystalarium.
AquaClass guests will get complimentary access to the SEA Thermal Suite, providing an incredible value if spa time is high on your vacation list of must-haves.
The Spa will also encompass Celebrity Edge’s impressive Fitness Center, which is elevating the fitness experience you can have at sea. In addition to a weight room with the standard machines like treadmills and ellipticals, you can also take part in the classes offered – and these classes aren’t just basic step aerobics.
West coasters will probably be especially excited to hear there will be hot yoga classes offered on board Celebrity Edge so if you’re one of the many west coast residents who do weekly hot yoga sessions, you’ll be able to continue your practice while on vacation on Celebrity Edge. Other interesting classes being offered include Technogym® Group Cycle, Fitness on Demand™, and cardio boxing, plus some more firsts at sea: Bungee Fit and Peloton® bikes.
