payasam
Payasam is a rice pudding from South India made with one additional grain of either wheat, tapioca, or sweet corn and flavored with cardamom, saffron, dried fruit, and nuts. Payasam is served as dessert and sometimes alongside the main course. In other parts of India, similar puddings are called kheer.
