Join us on an exhilarating sea turtle snorkel experience at the Riviera Maya's only Sea Turtle natural sanctuary at Akumal Bay. Enjoy a 30 minute ferry ride from Cozumel to the Playa del Carmen from where your personal guide will take you on a 30 minute drive along the Riviera Maya to Akumal. Akumal's pristine tranquil waters are no deeper than 6-8 feet protected by a barrier reef where the Logger Head Sea Turtles enter daily to feed on its sea grass and are very peaceful and friendly. Snorkel for up to 50 minutes taking this unique opportunity of viewing the turtles from 3 - 4 feet distance in their natural habitat other then the abundant marine life you may encounter at the bay from manta rays to large school of exotic fish. After this unique experience, we invite you to enjoy the one mile long white sandy beach for about 2 hours on the shore line of this beautiful bay where a buffet lunch and complimentary bar is included.

Please note: For preserving the sea turtles, only biodegradable sun tan lotion can be used. No physical contact is permitted with the sea turtles or other wild marine life.

Guests must be a minimum of 8 years of age to snorkel. Guests with heart conditions, epilepsy or asthma may not take part in this excursion. Guests should consider their physical fitness level and medical history when determining whether this tour is appropriate.  Guests with other heart or respiratory conditions or any other medical condition should take particular caution when selecting a tour with snorkeling/swimming elements.  Guests who have concerns should consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them.
