This tour starts visiting The Song Festival Ground, continues to Pirita, the beach-side location of the yachting complex. A short drive follows to Tallinn's Upper Town, pass ancient walls and tower gateways and disembark the coach at Tall Hermann Tower. Walk up Toompea Hill to the Palace Square, visit the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and continue along to visit Gothic St. Mary`s Cathedral. Descend to Town Hall Square. Drive from the port to Medieval Tallinn. Walk up Toompea Hill to Palace Square, to view the Baroque Toompea Castle, now the residence of the Estonian Parliament. Visit the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the Gothic St.Mary`s Cathedral. Enjoy the view over the Lower Old Town from the terrace or browse in the small shops. Continue on a scenic drive through countryside to one of the oldest towns of Estonia, Rakvere (100 km). You will have a visit to the Rakvere Distillery Museum. Then continue to the medieval Rakvere Castle for lunch and free time for browsing.
This tour is designed for guests who would enjoy seeing Tallinn mainly from the comforts of a motor coach but still get a glimpse of Old Town too. Stop for photographs at the Tall Hermann Tower from where you will have the option to walk the short distance up Toompea Hill to Palace Square, to view the baroque Toompea Castle (external view only). You may also visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral dominating the city skyline. Departing from Tall Hermann Tower, you will continue past the original city walls, the Kaarli Church, the Estonian Opera and Ballet Theater and also Kadriorg Park. Proceed to the Song Festival Ground. You will pass by the Forest Cemetery onto Pirita.
