Sicilian Beach Transfer, MY40, Sicily (Messina), Italy
OVERVIEW: Spend a part of your day on one of Sicily's most popular beaches. HIGHLIGHTS: This beach is one of the favorite summer destinations of Sicily. You'll have approximately 2.5 hours at your leisure to relax and swim. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for rent and refreshments and snacks can be purchased. NOTES: This is a family beach and nude sunbathing is not permitted. Swimming is at the guest's own risk. Take euros as credit cards and foreign currencies are not accepted. Guests who choose not to rent a sun bed or umbrella will need to pay the beach entrance fee of approximately 2 Euros. The drive to/from the pier is approximately 50 to 60 minutes.

Sicilian Nature: Fire & Water, MY28, Sicily (Messina), Italy
OVERVIEW: Travel through the Sicilian countryside to Mt. Etna and witness the effects of the power of Europe's largest active volcano. HIGHLIGHTS: Ride through the beautiful Sicilian countryside on your way to walk the rim of Mt. Etna's Silvestri Spent Craters. Pass through the Alcantara Gorge, a unique and unusual natural environment. NOTES: A light jacket or sweater and sturdy, comfortable closed walking shoes are recommended. Reaching the Silvestri Spent Craters involves walking uphill for approximately 330 yards on uneven terrain. The ascent, higher than 6,400 feet, is not recommended for those suffering from heart diseases and/or high blood pressure.

Important: Please remember you have up to 4 days prior to your sail date to purchase your regular shore excursions online. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
