If you think that Iceland looks good from the ground, wait til you've seen it from the air. This is a magnificent tour over the Tindfjallajokull and Eyjafjallajokull glaciers. Between the ice and snow fields we see Hekla, the most famous of Iceland's volcanoes. Other places of interest en route include Thingvellir, the site of the world's oldest parliament; Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, Geysir one of the world's outstanding geothermal areas and the origin of the English word "geyser", and the Thorsmork Valley, the realm of the Thunder God Thor and considered one of the pearls of the Icelandic nature. In the shelter of three glaciers, a most glorious oasis has been formed.

If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
