Boat Trip on the Lysefjord, SR26, Stavanger, Norway
Stroll along the harbor front to your awaiting boat to enjoy a scenic ride through the Stavanger Archipelago into the Lysefjord. Cutting a path of almost 65 kilometers into the country, the fjord is flanked by steep mountains with numerous waterfalls cascading down the sides. Proceed through the Lysefjord to one of Norway's spectacular wonders, Preikestolen, the Pulpit Rock. During your tour you will make a stop for tea/coffee and waffles at the beautiful Lysefjord Center. Cruising back to Stavanger, you will have a nice view over the city.

City Sightseeing & Utstein Monastry, SR29, Stavanger, Norway
The tour goes through the city center with its fish and farmer's market, a visit to the Cathedral, onwards to Utstein Kloster through the Bytunnelen subsea tunnel; on returning to the town, there is an optional walk in the Old Stavanger area, before returning to the pier.

City Sightseeing with Iron Age Farm, SR27, Stavanger, Norway
OVERVIEW: This excursion will take you back in time to the Middle Ages when Viking kings ruled both land and sea. HIGHLIGHTS: Visit the Iron Age Farm, an ancient site where the Viking king, Harald Fairhair, defeated the last of the regional princes in 872. From the coach, you'll see Hafrsfjord and the monument of three swords. You'll enjoy photo stops at Ullandhaug viewpoint and Stavanger Cathedral. At the end of the tour, you'll stroll through the cobblestone streets of Old Stavanger and see the white wooden houses dating back to the 18th and 19th century. NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approx. 1 mile over uneven, cobblestone and hilly terrain with 2-3 steps to enter/exit the coach.

Stavanger - Oil Capital of Norway, SR28, Stavanger, Norway
This excursion will take you from the Middle Ages when Viking Kings ruled both land and sea up to modern-life Stavanger. There will be a photo stop at "The Three Swords, symbolizing the unification of Norway. The tour continues through the old fishing village Tananger, also once a pirates' nest, and passes the Sola Beach. You proceed through rich agricultural areas, to arrive at the Norwegian Petroleum Museum. At the museum you may study geology and technology and experience the excitement and drama of the oil adventure.

If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
