4 x 4 Malta Adventure - Half Day, VT11, Valletta, Malta
Touring by 4X4 vehicle allows you to explore areas of Malta, not visited by tourists and some beautiful parts of Maltese countryside. Join 4X4 tour where safari leader/driver points out locations & landscapes during drive. All vehicles are brought to Pinto Wharf where you'll depart & proceed to northern part of Malta. Continue on Mellieha, drive past Red Tower towards Anchor Bay & Golden Sands for possible swim stop. Proceed with drive to Mgarr and Fomm ir-Rih with photo stop at Dingli Cliffs. Blue Grotto Boat Trip & Marsaxlokk, VT14, Valletta, Malta
Depart quayside & go thru Maltese villages towards south side of island Blue Grotto. View natural rock structures of Wied iz Zurrieq. Time for photos. Proceed down hill to begin boat trip to caves & coral formation under sea. After boat trip, free time give before going by coach to Marsaxlokk fishing village where you'll have time for shopping. Return to ship. Note: must walk approx 600 yds over very uneven surfaces at cliffs many steps to reach boat boarding area. Exact itinerary & cave viewing dependent upon wind & weather conditions. Have approx 45 mins for shopping. Walking in Marsaxlokk is at guests' discretion. Drive to/from port is approx 45 min.

Depart quayside for Valletta to visit on foot Upper Barracca Gardens for pano view of Malta's harbors & cities of Senglea, Cospicua & Vittoriosa. Proceed to St. John's Cathedral to view masterpiece. Reboard coach from outside of Valletta's main gate & drive to Tarxien to visit 3 Neolithic Temples. Lunch served at local resort before proceeding to Mdina to visit on foot Old Cathedral & Ramparts. OVERVIEW: Ride through beautiful Malta and see many of the island's natural and historic sites. This is a good option for guests who prefer minimal walking. HIGHLIGHTS: Your tour includes a visit to Vittoriosa and the Church of St Lawrence. You'll have free time to explore the fishing village of Marsaxlokk. See the Blue Grotto from above and views from the Dingli Cliffs. Drive through Rabat, around the old capital of Mdina and on through Mosta. NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approximately 300 yards over even surfaces and 2 to 3 steps to board the coach. The amount of walking during the free time is at the discretion of the guests.

OVERVIEW: Visit the ancient walled cities of Mdina and Valletta as you step back into the time of the Knights of Malta. HIGHLIGHTS: In the city of Mdina, you will enjoy a walking tour of the palazzi, city bastions and churches including an exterior view of the Old Cathedral. There will also be 30 minutes for shopping. In the city of Valletta, you will tour the Upper Barracca Gardens, St. John's Co-Cathedral and the Magisterial Palace. NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approx. 1 mile over even and cobblestone surfaces in each city. Guests will have to navigate approx. 40 steps at the cathedral and palace. In order to enter the cathedral, respectful attire which covers shoulders and knees.

Mdina, Mosta & Handicrafts Village, VT02, Valletta, Malta
Tour visits birthplace of Malta & allows shopping for handicrafts. Pass thru island's landscapes & Arabic architecture. You'll visit Mdina. You'll walk walled city with views from its ramparts & visit Old Cathedral to view its collection of paintings & woodcarvings. Return to coach & go to Ta' Qali Handicrafts Village where you'll stop at glass blowing factory for demo. Drink offered at factory. You'll have approx 45 mins for shopping. Continue to Mosta to see interior of the Church. Guide tells its history. Note: must walk approx 1 mile over cobblestone streets with 5 - 10 steps. Walking in Handicrafts area is at guest's discretion. Respectful attire required.

Three Cities & Harbor Cruise, VT03, Valletta, Malta
Depart quayside for Marsaxlokk for free time (approx 30 mins) to explore village, before drive to Three Cities. Drive to Senglea to see city. Embark coach & drive via Cospicua to Vittoriosa for exterior view of buildings including Auberges of Knights - Hospital, Armoury, Treasury, various palaces, Fort St. Angelo & St. Lawrence Church. At Vittoriosa quay, board vessel for boat trip around Valletta harbor. At end of harbor cruise, vessel will debark guests directly at Pinto Wharf. Note: must walk approx 0.5 mile over cobblestone & uneven streets with 40 - 55 steps. Due to berthing restrictions, the harbor cruise might start from Sliema Ferries. Cruise is weather dependent & may be cancelled

Important: Please remember you have up to 4 days prior to your sail date to purchase your regular shore excursions online. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
