Drive to Chester & commence sightseeing tour along parts of city accessible to coaches. Visit is made to Cathedral. Towering above all other buildings, it was originally a 10th century church, becoming a Cathedral after the dissolution of monasteries by Henry VIII. Once visit is complete, have free time to visit other parts of Chester on your own. Note: must walk approx 0.5 mile over various surfaces with inclines & few steps. Amount of walking during free time is guests' discretion. Comfortable shoes recommended. Lunch not included. However, there is approx 1 hour for lunch & shopping on own. Drive between Liverpool & Chester is approx 75 minutes each way, dependent on traffic conditions.
Leaving from the Pier Head, Liverpool's famous landmark, pass through the oldest part of the city seeing the Town Hall. Proceed with an exterior view of the Cavern Quarter, where the Beatles performed at The Cavern Club many times. Travel outside of the city center to nearby Speke Hall for visit. The building has four long, low ranges enclosing a cobbled courtyard. Jetted gables project rather haphazardly from the facades. The rough sandstone slabs covering the roof add to the crooked appearance. Note: must walk approx 0.5 mile over various surfaces with inclines and a few steps. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Your guide will recount the story of The Beatles as photo stops are made at appropriate places of interest. Visit The Beatles Story, a walk-through series of 18 features of sight and sound experience following the Fab Four. Walk into Mathew Street and hear the sounds of the music playing in The Cavern. Move to Abbey Road studios and then experience Beatlemania first hand. The Beatles Story ends with the break-up of the group and a special tribute to John Lennon. Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.5 miles over various uneven and gravel surfaces with inclines and a few steps to enter/exit the coach. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
As you proceed ashore, Royal Liver Building is a major city structure immediately appreciated. Close by are the notable buildings of Walker Art Gallery and St. George's Hall. A photo stop is made before continuing with an exterior visit of the Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King. Continue to the Anglican Cathedral for an exterior visit of the second of Liverpool's great religious buildings. Built in Gothic style from red sandstone, it is the largest cathedral in Britain. Note: must walk approx 400 yards over even surfaces in port terminal & 2 - 3 steps to enter/exit coach. There are no shopping stops on this tour.
You'll walk along Mathew Street, where Cavern Club is located & The Beatles played in early career. You'll visit Beatles Story, a walk-thru series featuring a sight & sound tour following "fab four" from childhood to Beatlemania & to death of John Lennon. Continue walk across to Pier Head. Tour concludes here where you can leave guide & continue with own touring or return to ship with guide. Note: Guests must walk approx 2.5 miles over uneven & gravel surfaces with inclines & steps. Tour will operate in all weather conditions so take appropriate weather gear. Photography not permitted at The Beatles Story. Guests will depart to/from pier on foot, walking along local streets with guide.
