HIGHLIGHTS: Enjoy a guided walking tour of the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, that includes the medieval city center, Preseren Square, Town Hall, open air market, and three bridges created by Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik. Cruise the Ljubljanica River for approx. 1 hour. Savor lunch in a traditional Slovenian inn and enjoy approx. 90 minutes in Ljubljana.

On island in middle of lake, ancient Slavs worshipped Ziva. Pilgrims came to church of St Mary on island. Tour offers typical wooden boat ride to island. Upon return ashore, transfer to Bled Castle to visit wine cellar w/ wine monk. Monk provides demo on how wine made way from barrel to bottle in medieval era. Castle offers look into Herbal shop & old print shop. A medieval collection of armatures, knights and furniture is kept for exhibition. After castle visit, free time offered before return to port. Note: must walk approx 2 miles (roughly 1.5 hrs) over even & cobblestone surfaces, inclines & steps. Have approx 2 hr for shopping. Drive to/from pier is approx 2 hrs each way.
Explore Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. The history this city has witnessed is a story to be discovered. Note: Tour does not include lunch or entrance fees. An escort will be on coach to/from Koper. If guests should miss return coach, transportation back to vessel will be their own responsibility & at their own expense. Amount of walking is at each guests' discretion over cobblestone streets & paved surfaces. Shopping hours & closure dates should be reviewed in intro section of Koper, Slovenia. Proper attire is required when visiting sacred sites. Ladies must cover knees & shoulders & men must wear pants. Shorts & vests are inappropriate.
Discover a unique subterranean universe of mazelike passages, extraordinary stalactite formations and other natural sculptures of Slovenia's Karst plateau. Ride a train into the vast chambers then your guide will lead you on a walk of nearly 2 miles underground. The cave is not wheelchair or walker accessible.
NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles (roughly 1.5 hours) over a winding path covered with a non-slip surface to assist with footing. Photography and video taping are not allowed in the caves.
