This tour starts visiting The Song Festival Ground, continues to Pirita, the beach-side location of the yachting complex. A short drive follows to Tallinn's Upper Town, pass ancient walls and tower gateways and disembark the coach at Tall Hermann Tower. Walk up Toompea Hill to the Palace Square, visit the Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and continue along to visit Gothic St. Mary`s Cathedral. Descend to Town Hall Square. Tallinn's Old Town can be best enjoyed on foot. Upper Old Town features the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, Estonian Parliament Building and the 13th century St. Mary`s Cathedral. On entering Lower Old Town you'll visit St. Nicholas Church containing numerous of remarkable works of art. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a short concert of classical music in the church. Next you will continue along old streets passing the houses of merchants of the Hanseatic League. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
