OVERVIEW: The highlight of this tour is a 2-hour guided hike to and from Briksdal Glacier.
HIGHLIGHTS: Hike along the river to the glacier and see the waterfalls and wonderful views along the way. You'll have time for photos and to enjoy the wonderful view and natural setting. You'll enjoy homemade cakes and coffee or tea at Briksdal Mountain Lodge.
NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles uphill over dirt and stone hiking paths at the Briksdal Glacier. A limited number of electrical cars are available at an additional cost for guests who need additional assistance but all participants must walk the last 10 minutes to reach the viewpoint to see the glacier.
For approximately 1 hour, your coach will travel the winding roads through the Kjenndal Valley before reaching your destination, Kjenndalen. A 10-minute walk will take you close to the glacier, which lies surrounded by high peaks. Having enjoyed the fantastic sight, the coach will take you to the charming little restaurant situated on the lake. In peaceful surroundings with a beautiful view of the lake, you will be served waffles and coffee before starting your journey on Lake Loen. You will journey down a section of the 9-mile arm of the lake, and on the opposite side of the lake, your coach is waiting to return you to Olden.
A ten-minute coach ride will deliver you to the starting point of the boat trip, Eide, where the boat is ready to take you on a relaxing trip. You will journey down the emerald green lake framed by ancient mountains. After the fascinating boat trip, your coach is waiting to take you back to Olden and your vessel.
You will depart from Olden on a 58-mile journey south through the small towns of Skei and Utvik en route to Fjaerland, to the Norwegian Glacier Center. You will have a brief visit at the Boyabreen Glacier, one of the mighty arms of the Jostedalen glacier plateau, before continuing to Skei Hotel for lunch. After the meal, you will have time for a stroll through the village with its interesting handicrafts. The return drive to Olden will be via the same route.

A 10-minute walk will take you close to the glacier, which lies surrounded by high peaks. Having enjoyed the fantastic sight, the bus will return to your ship following the same route.
Depart the resort village of Olden and travel along the shore towards the village of Stryn. Continue along the Stryn River, and the calm waters of Stryn Lake to Hjelle. Continue your scenic drive upwards encountering 19 hairpin bends as you climb to almost 2000 feet. At the top, enjoy the fantastic panorama of the Stryn Mountains and the valley below. After a photo stop, start your downhill descent to the Jostedal National Park Center. Visit the center with all its facilities, . In the center's own cafeteria coffee and "svele" - a Norwegian pastry specialty will be served. After the visit, re-board the coach for the return trip to Olden Pier.
