ATV Safari to Adventdalen, UF10, Longyearbyen,Norway
A minivan will pick up the passengers on the pier and drive to the garage where they get will get their ATV. They wil then drive in a summer Svalbard landscape: the summer in the artic is short and intense with a rich animal and bird life. It is not unusual to see the Svalbard reindeers and the foxes. The tour wil go to Adventdalen, to Mine 7 and up the mountain. On the top of the mountain you will stop at "Kjell Henriksen Obesrvatory". This observatory is used for resarch on the Northers Lights. From here you will enjoy the amazing wies of Adventdalen. During the tour you will stop several time in order to have the opportunity to take photos of the unique arctic landscape.

Dogsledding on Wheels, UF11, Longyearbyen,Norway
A minivan will pick up the passengers on the pier and drive to the husky farm where eager dogs are awaiting to og on the trip. The guests will drive the dog wagon to Endalen, a valley rich in flora. The valley has also an interesting mine history with its mine called "mine 5", or King Olavs mine" After a break with coffee/ tea and biscuits, the group will return to the kennel, leave the wagons and drive back to the pier.

Fjordsafari to Bird Island, UF12, Longyearbyen,Norway
After boarding the Rib boat the trip will go out to Isfjorden, where the Bird cliff is situated, with steep walls right out in the ocean. This is a mountain full of life with many hundreds different sea birds. Guests will have the opportunity to see the puffin, little oak, black guilletmot, sea gulls, black auk and much more. At the end of this adventurous fjord safari, you will sail back to the pier.

Historical Walk with Svalbard Museum, UF13, Longyearbyen,Norway
Your guide will pick you up at the pier and you will start your guided walk in Longyearbyen. Longyearbyen is situated between high mountains in the Advent Valley. We will stop for a visit at Svalbard Museum, where you will learn about the history of the archipelago and you will understand the relationship between nature, culture, landscape and environment in the Arctic. After the visit you will continue your walk. Your guide will tell you about the local flora and fauna and maybe if you are lucky, you will be able to spot some reindeers in the city centre! Return to the pier on foot.

Sightseeing with Husky Farm, UF14, Longyearbyen,Norway
The tour starts from the pier in Longyearbyen. You will drive to the center of the village and then to the beautiful Advent Valley, where you will admire the arctic landscape. Then the coach will stop at the northernmost church in the world, Svalbard Church, which has the mission to serve everyone visiting the island, independent of their nationality or Church affiliation. This Church is always open and you will have a short guided visit.

Important: Please remember you have up to 4 days prior to your sail date to purchase your regular shore excursions online. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
