Leaving the pier you will proceed towards Camara de Lobos. There, you will see its lovely, quaint setting of red-tile roofed houses clustered on the rocky point and the brightly painted fishing boats anchored in the harbor. Passing by Estreito de Camara de Lobos your tour will then proceed to Cabo Girao, the highest sea cliff in Europe and the second highest in the world. Soaring 1,900 feet, its etched face tells the tale of its volcanic origins. From this impressive promontory, you will have breathtaking views along the island's southern coast. Before reaching Cabo Girão, you will have the opportunity to taste a famous local drink, Poncha, made of rum and honey.

Once in Camara de Lobos you will have free time to explore this traditional village. From here and before returning to the ship, you will be driven towards Funchal, for a sample of the famous Madeira Wine at the Madeira Wine Company .

Leaving the pier you will proceed towards Pico dos Barcelos. Then continue towards Camara de Lobos, a well-known fishing village. Your tour will then proceed to Cabo Girão, the highest sea cliff in Europe and the second highest in the world. Passing by Estreito de Camara de Lobos, known for its vineyards, you will reach Quinta do Estreito which is found among vineyards on the southern slopes of the main wine producing area of Madeira. In the typical Adega da Quinta Restaurant you will sample some of the local wines and Portuguese cheeses.
Before visiting the hotel, you'll be taken on a panoramic city tour. Arriving at the hotel, your guide will take you through the gardens before tea is served, giving you the chance to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Tea menu includes a choice of teas, scones and cakes. Note: Guests must walk approx. 320 meters over uneven cobblestones, 20+ steps in the garden of Reid Hotel. The Hotel Reid's dress code for tea is smart casual; no jeans, shorts or tennis shoes are allowed.
Leaving the pier you will travel to Pico dos Barcelos to admire the breathtaking views over Funchal. You will then be driven to Eira do Serrado, with a viewpoint at approximately 3,282 feet overlooking the valley of Curral das Freiras (The Nun's valley). Your final visit will be at Monte, one of the most famous places in the suburbs of Funchal, known world wide for its mild climate, luxurious vegetation, and the Church of Nossa Senhora do Monte. Return to ship.
You will be picked up near your ship to be transported to the boat that will take you to an exciting experience: whales and dolphins observation. Before the adventure starts there will be a short introduction by marine biologists and then you will certainly enjoy the beauty of Madeira along its coast - an unforgettable experience!
