Experience the Faroe Islands in the most fantastic and exciting way-in a specially built, fast and fun RIB boat. After the safety briefing and putting on your suit and life vest, you'll depart the harbor of Torshavn for an adventure in the fjords close to the capital. Motor close under high sea cliffs to get the best possible view of the wildlife. If the weather permits, your skipper will turn into some of the grottoes and between free-standing cliffs. The boat accommodates 12 passengers and reaches speeds up to 40-50 knots-a small-scale, up-close adventure for nature-lovers. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion.
This excursion departs by bus and takes you along the Kaldbak fjord where you will enjoy the sight of cascading waterfalls and lazy sheep wandering about. You drive through the tunnel to Kollafjorður and further north through the valley and stop at the top of the columnar basalt of Streymoy sill. Your walk starts from this point, situated 280 metres above sealevel. You head up the mountain towards the sill. On the top you can admire the splendid scenery of the rock formation, some small lakes and a beautiful scenery of the island of Vagar.

You travel up to the scenic, ridge-top road that runs along the southern part of Streymoy island, pausing above Torshavn for a photo stop at a viewpoint overlooking this colourful capital city. You pause for another photo stop above Norðradalur (North Valley) where on clear days a dramatic view of the island of Koltur stands gloriously before you. Further north, views of Kaldbak and Kollafjorður fjords open below you. Winding down into a valley, you pass a charming mountain tarn and pause to admire the hand-hewn stone salmon ladders leading to Lake Leynar. Arriving in Leynar you may visit the local woodturner and watch him work or you may take a walk on the Leynar beach.
From Torshavn, take a 50-minute drive to the north, past idyllic villages and the old whaling station at Air. The only bridge over the Atlantic, as it is sometimes called, spans the narrow channel of Sundini to connect Eysturoy with the larger island of Streymoy. You will pass Eiai and cross the mountains to Gjagv.
We leave Streymoy island through the new underwater tunnel and five minutes later we arrive on Vágar. This trip gives you the chance to see Vágar's changing scenery and to explore its villages. We drive through the villages of Sandavágur, where we visit the church and Miðvágur and before we reach Vatnsoyrar we pass the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. From Bøur we drive up to the the tunnel to Gásadalur, Vágar's westernmost village, which is the last village to be road connected with the rest of the islands infrastructure. We return to Tórshavn via the mountain.
On this tour, you will visits Tinganes, which is the historic part of Torshavn. You will make a short stop at Skansin to explore the old fort before driving up to the beautiful Nordic House cultural centre. You drive through the modern sections of the city and, before you head back to the harbour, stop briefly at a viewpoint overlooking the capital.
