Begin with a tour of Bilbao's Old Quarter, the heart of the city where the narrow streets are lined with Renaissance, Baroque and Modernist buildings. Debark the coach and begin a brief walking tour through the area. Your guide will point out the main sights including the Cathedral of Santiago, a Gothic Church of San Anton and the Plaza Nueva, an arcaded square. Afterwards, continue to Castro Urdiales, the town center with its characteristic houses with wooden rows of balconies. Then reboard the coach for the return trip to the pier.

The drive to/from Bilbao is approximately 45 minutes each way, dependent upon traffic conditions.

If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
