A stroll through Alesund reveals a town of colorful and charming architecture as well as strong maritime traditions. Enjoy the pedestrian zone, the picturesque fishing harbor & the remaining Old Town. Note: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles over even paved & cobblestone surfaces with inclines. Guests should be in good physical condition. Low heeled, comfortable walking shoes, comfortable loose clothing, and a light jacket are recommended. This tour will operate in all weather conditions so participants should take appropriate weather gear with them.

OVERVIEW: This tour will be operated in English only. This tour includes a drive through Alesund as well as a visit to the Sunnmore Museum and Mount Aksla viewpoint. HIGHLIGHTS: Enjoy a short sightseeing tour by bus through Alesund before visiting the Sunnmore Open Air Museum where you'll learn about the Norwegian coastal culture and see the beautiful old Borgund Stone Church. Next, you'll stop at Mount Aksla to enjoy a bird's eye view of the town and its surroundings. NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approximately 0.3 mile over paved and gravel surfaces with some steps and inclines.

This tour will be operated in English only. The tour takes you to the Saga Islands of Giske and Godoy, connected to Alesund and the mainland by bridges and one of the longest sub-sea tunnel connections in the world. Visit the Roman marble church, Giske Chapel, dating back to 1135. It was once the influent Giske family chapel. To give you an insight into the multitude of life beneath the waves, you will visit the Atlantic Sea Park, one of the largest aquariums in Northern Europe and the largest in Scandinavia. On the return back to the ship you will visit the Mount Aksla view point.

OVERVIEW: This tour will be operated in English only. The highlight of this tour is a scenic drive down the Trollstigen, or Path of the Trolls. HIGHLIGHTS: Delight in a Norwegian lunch in a local resturant. Wind down the Path of the Trolls and its 11 giant hairpin bends and see the Stigfoss Waterfall, needle-sharp peaks, and the valley surrounded by captivating mountains. Pass by the charming village of Andalsnes and see the Troll Wall, Europe's highest vertical mountain wall. NOTES: Guests must be able to walk approx. 0.3 mile over asphalt surfaces with 2-3 steps to enter/exit the coach. This tour is not recommended for guests who have difficulties climbing and/or managing steps.
