The bus takes you through the little village, past the little octagonal church and further up the up the winding mountain road which offers an ever-changing kaleidoscope of mountain farms, waterfalls, lakes and streams. From Lake Djupvatn you will continue up the hairpin road to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba. Descending to Lake Djupvatn you take the same road towards Geiranger Village.
Your coach will climb up the winding mountain road offering an ever-changing kaleidoscope of mountain farms, waterfalls, lakes and streams. From Lake Djupvatn you will continue up the hairpin road to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba - from where you will have a spectacular view of the Geirangerfjord and your ship far below . After a photo stop you will drive carefully down the same road. On the way back to Geiranger you will stop at Flydalsjuvet viewpoint. The tour continues to the Norwegian Fjord Center. The Center offers you a chance to experience the living conditions the people along the fjords used to live under.
Departing Geiranger, your coach will drive on the North side of the fjord up the Eagle Road to the famous viewpoint at the Eagle Bend where you can see the famous waterfalls "De Syv Søstre" (The Seven Sisters) and your cruise ship anchored down below. From the viewpoint you will drive past high snow-covered mountains and green valleys before reaching Ytterdal (Eidsdal) on the Storfjord. From Ytterdal, you will climb to one of the many summer mountain farms in the area - the "Herdalsetra." The traditional Herdalsseter is the largest mountain farm still in use in Norway. During the visit at Herdalsetra you will taste various samples of food made at the farm.
The bus will take you from the pier to Westeras where your hike will start. Through beautiful nature on a good path you will walk to the Storseter Waterfall cascading down the mountain side. See the view from behind the waterfall! You will continue to Westeras Mountain Farm. Here you will be served coffee and fresh homemade waffles. After the break, Westeras Viewpoint is the next intersting stop. here you will admire the magnificent Geirangerfjord. Transfer back to ship.
Experience the magnificent Geirangerfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, by RIB-boat. The tour will be performed in a safe, rigid inflatable boat (RIB) into the fjord landscape. You will experience the famous waterfalls and stunning landscape. The boat will take you to the end of the Geirangerfjord and all the way to Oaldsbygda. You will come right up close to the waterfalls and have views of the fjord farms where the people of the Geirangerfjord lived and worked a hundred years ago.
A unique chance to see Geiranger Highlights. Board your motor coach to Djupvasshytte Lodge, admire the incredible view on the fjord at Flydalsjuvet viewpoint. At Djupvasshytte Lodge at 1030 meters above sea lever, board your bike and enjoy a breathtaking downhill bike tour. Ride as fast as you wish and stop where you want on the way to Geiranger.
