Be your own captain on one of our boats. The boats are specially made for touring and can carry a maximum of two persons. Depending on the sea conditions and your guide's judgment, you will drive your own boat and tour parts of the southeast coast of Curaçao and Spanish Water Lagoon with its magnificent houses, luxury boats and mangrove forest. There are moments that you will have to overcome the waves of the Caribbean Sea and other times where you ride through beautiful calm turquoise waters. Kayak Coastal Adventure and Snorkeling, CUB4, Willemstad, Curacao
Active types will love this half-day tour. Things kick off with as you paddle in a shared kayak along the coast. You'll pass Fort Beekenburg, which was originally built in 1703 to protect the inner bay, and Quarantine House an old manor estate. From here, it's on to Doctor's Bay, where you'll be fitted out with snorkel gear. Visit a shipwrecked tugboat that's home to a long list of underwater creatures & rainbow-coloured fish. This is Curacao's top snorkelling spot, so bring an underwater camera if you have one. Kayaks are shared, minimum age to participate is 10 years.

You depart from the pier to Jan Sofat to board the snorkel vessel. Sail through the Spanish Waters to Caracas Bay, one of the best snorkeling sites of Curacao, The Sunken Tugboat. As the boat dances on the waves at the sunken tugboat site, you can swim and snorkel or, simply relax on the boat. You will no doubt appreciate the abundant marine life in this area along with multi-colored corals encrusted in the sunken tugboat. Enjoy a rum or fruit punch as you make your scenic return.

For this shore dive, you will be picked up by taxi. Once at the facility, you will be briefed by your divemaster and gear up for the dive. With gear on, you walk to the beach, enter the water and with your divemaster you will swim out to the reef. Your first dive will be to 60 feet, your second to 40 feet or less, with one hour surface interval for refreshments, shopping, or relaxing. At the end , rinse and return your gear, do some shopping, and head back to the ship by taxi. This is limited to certified divers who have been on a dive within the last year. Certified divers must present a valid "C" card with PADI Open Water or equivalent certification to participate. Minimum age 15 years.

Important: Please remember you have up to 4 days prior to your sail date to purchase your regular shore excursions online. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
