Make the most of your vacation with a shore and land excursion that appeals to your interests. Knowledgeable, professional guides lead all excursions and offer special insights into the culture, history, wildlife, and geology of each destination. Discover first-hand how islanders went about the business of growing, harvesting and refining sugar in 18th century Barbados. Take an invigorating mush across a snow-covered glacier aboard an Alaskan dogsled. Or stroll through the maze of tiny streets in Mykonos, the birthplace of Apollo.
Enjoy two of the island's natural wonders the sulphur pond with its therapeutic ambiance and Grand Etang Crater Lake which was once a volcano and is now the setting for photos as you enjoy some refreshments in the cool rainforest.
After a safety briefing, you receive your river tubing equipment. Your guides will accompany you on the journey, gently spinning and swirling in the currents of the river. Stopping only in the pools along the way to catch your breath and then finally at the last pool, an opportunity for a swim before you enjoy a Rum Punch or local fruit juice.
Besides the fun one can have from the sailing alone, Grenada is worthy of being discovered not only from above but also below the sea. You sail up the western coast to the snorkel site. Afterwards make your way down south to a beautiful white sandy beach where you can swim, shop or simply relax.
Adventure seekers experience a tour with a difference as you trek for 40-50 minutes to discover the Seven Sisters Waterfalls hidden in the rainforest. You will then be captivated by the romantic serenity as you take a swim and wrap yourself in the blanket of nature's music & bird calls.
Keep your camera or binoculars ready as you bob across the waves and watch out for Wales and Dolphins. Grenada waters are the home of spinner and stripped dolphins, but there are no guarantees with nature, however with luck you will see these graceful creatures, also enjoy Grenada's costal scenery.
Important: Please remember you have up to 4 days prior to your sail date to purchase your regular shore excursions online. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
