The tour will be an expedition into the Tropical Rain Forest. Your vehicle is a specially designed jitney for passengers pulled by a tractor. A stop is made to view the different species of plants, trees and birdlife. Light cotton clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Bring insect repellent and lots of film.

Located approximately 50 minutes away from the pier, this tour is in a private reserve in which you will be able to experience all the excitement of the Original Canopy Tour®. The tour consists of 12 observation platforms and 12 horizontal "zip line" traverses. Afterwards, you'll head to the reception area where water and fruits await you. Tortuguero Canals & Banana Plantation, PL05, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica
After a bus ride to the Tortugero Canals, you'll cruise on specially designed boats for approx. 2 hours. The Tortuguero Canals are a navigable network of lakes and channels that cross Tortuguero National Park from the southeast to the northwest. These canals also serve as waterways for transportation and exploration. A visit to a banana plantation will be made prior to your return to the vessel. Please note that there may instances whereby the processing facilities will be closed on Sunday and Holiday's.

If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
