Make the most of your vacation with a shore and land excursion that appeals to your interests. Knowledgeable, professional guides lead all excursions and offer special insights into the culture, history, wildlife, and geology of each destination. Discover first-hand how islanders went about the business of growing, harvesting and refining sugar in 18th century Barbados. Take an invigorating mush across a snow-covered glacier aboard an Alaskan dogsled. Or stroll through the maze of tiny streets in Mykonos, the birthplace of Apollo.
Don't just settle for a meal of wild Alaskan seafood: experience it as Alaskans do! In Alaska's Wildest Kitchen is a hands-on tasting session hosted by an experienced Alaskan fisherwoman and wilderness chef. You and your fellow greenhorns will learn what sets Alaskan seafood apart, including local fishing, preserving and cooking techniques, watch an expert filleting demonstration, and even get a chance to grill your own sample of the catch of the day over a custom-made alder-wood grill. One alcoholic beverage and printed recipe cards are included in your tour.
