In Ketchikan, the distance to the wilderness is measured in feet. In your inflatable, the distance to unforgettable is 2.5 hours! After gearing up, you'll step into your boat for an exhilarating, extraordinary trip. You or someone in your party will drive the small boat while you follow the guide's boat as he/she interprets your historical, cultural and ecological adventure. You may search for bears, seals and spawning salmon or perhaps admire totem poles at Saxman Native Village. You may even cruise Ketchikan's historic red light district Creek Street and historic Thomas Basin. The route is determined by current wind, tide and weather conditions. If you are within the 4 days, you will then need to purchase your shore excursions onboard; land excursions would need to be purchased directly through your Tour Director on the land portion of the Alaska Cruisetour. For example, if you are sailing on October 18, you can make Shore & Land Excursion purchases online until October 13.
