The offshore waters of Sitka offer an abundant supply of bottom fish. You will fish for halibut, ling cod, red snapper and other varieties of rock fish. The fishing grounds are approximately 1 hour from port on the open ocean. All equipment, bait, tackle and raingear are provided. Lunch, snacks and soft drinks are included. You may "catch and release" or you may have your catch processed and shipped home (US addresses only). The fishing grounds are subject to ocean swell and wind chop. Sitka Sound offers an abundant supply of King, Silver, Chum and Pink salmon. The species you pursue depends on the time of season. The catch rate in Sitka is consistent throughout the season. Your fishing boats are cabin cruiser style sportfishers that average 24-30 feet in length with 4 to 6 guests assigned to each boat. All necessary equipment is provided. Soft drinks, bottled water & snacks are included. Fishing license ($20) & King Salmon stamps ($10) are available for cash purchase onboard the fishing boats.
