Must-Sees from the Editors of
Travel + Leisure

Stephen Avenue Walk
The historic thoroughfare in the heart of downtown is pedestrian-only during daytime hours. Stroll between early-20th-century sandstone buildings, many of which house fashionable boutiques and cozy pubs, and look for the treelike sculptures that border the avenue—the innovative installations help block gusty winter winds.

Chinese Cultural Centre
A 70-foot dome modeled after Beijing’s historic Temple of Heaven crowns this educational and retail space dedicated to Chinese culture. More than 20 artisans crafted and painted the intricate ceiling, decorated with 561 dragons and 40 phoenixes.

Calgary Tower
At 4,029 feet, Calgary Tower has the world’s highest 360-degree observation deck. After taking in city views, visitors can have lunch at Sky 360, where Alberta-beef tartare and trout or prawns certified by Oceanwise, Canada’s sustainable seafood program, are among the choice dishes.
