Gaspé Peninsula, Canada

This rugged peninsula, which includes a section of the International Appalachia Trail, extends into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence in the Quebec region. A prime spot to see migrating whales and striking landscapes, it's Mother Nature at her finest. At the northeast tip is Forillon National Park, home to blue herons, seals and moose, and Percé Rock, one of the largest and most spectacular natural arches in the world carved from multi-hued limestone.
