Must-Sees from the Editors of Travel + Leisure

Anfield (Liverpool Soccer stadium)

Sports fans shouldn't pass up a trip to this iconic soccer (or football) stadium, considered the Fenway Park of the United Kingdom. Book a stadium tour to get a look at the pressroom, sit in the arena's best seats, and explore the team's storied dressing room.

Museum of Liverpool

3XN was the architecture team behind this bulky limestone structure, which was meant to mimic the trading ships that historically dominated Liverpool's harbor. Inside, a spiral staircase connects three floors with exhibits on local archaeology, car and ship transport, and city history.

Tate Liverpool

Pritzker Prize-winning architect James Stirling was behind the restoration of the converted warehouses, located within the waterfront Albert dock development, that now make up the Tate Liverpool. Works by contemporary British and international artists rotate throughout the museum's industrial galleries. Look out for paintings and sculptures by Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, and Barbara Hepworth, among others.
