Copenhagen Opera House
On the edge of the harbor stands this Henning Larsen-designed structure, a soaring glass-and-steel response to the surpassingly regal Amalienborg Palace (the royal family's residence) across the water. It's open for tours highlighting the architecture and backstage areas.
Susanne Juul
With its colorful display of newsboys, fedoras, cloches, and pillboxes, Juul's showroom feels like a throwback to another era. Her bright-red fox-fur-and-wool "Kosak" caps are both fetching and warm.
Torvehallerne KBH
A visit to this colorful food hall, where many of Copenhagen's best-known chefs shop for ingredients from local farms, is a must. Along with cured sausages and raw-milk cheeses, sample traditional Danish desserts such as flødeboller (snowballs), made of marshmallow cream and dark chocolate atop a marzipan base.
